Limitless Transition Service's Summer Program
Organized by: Nicole Broberg
Limitless Transition Services has the opportunity to host our summer transition program, "What People Do", at three high schools. During this program we will focus on real life skills that students need to understand as they transition into adulthood. Some examples of these skills are: How to write a resume and cover letter, How to interview, How to dress for and interview, How to navigate public transportation, How to register your car, etc... We will also have a mind, body and soul component that focuses on how to grow your own food, diet, exercise, art and music. This component will also focus on self-image and social skills. As we are doing this, we will be helping the students with credit recovery as well. This program will last for 5 weeks during the summer.
This is where you come in... We have received some grant funding to help students with special needs participate in our program, but in order to expand our program to helping students who are at-risk, we need to raise some more funds. Any amount that you can donate to help our cause would be greatly appreciated!
In return, we (Nicole, Brandon and Trevor) will run the death defying race, The Spartan Race. We chose this race to run as a message to you and our students that their future is so important to us that we are willing to risk life and limb for it!
