BENEFITING: SPECIAL SPACES
EVENT DATE: Sep 28, 2015
I’m turning 34 on the 28th of this month and instead of asking for gifts I’m fundraising for an organization that is doing a lot of good locally and across the country.
Special Spaces creates dream bedrooms for children with life-threatening illnesses. Special Spaces was founded in 2004 on the precedent that children battling life-threatening illnesses need their own space where they can find peace and comfort while addressing their medical needs. A bedroom to most children, especially those children who suffer long-term illnesses that are confined to their bedroom, are a personal space that should represent each child’s unique personality. Special Spaces surround these children with their dreams in their bedrooms in an effort to bring hope and joy into the child’s life and their home.
Special Spaces has created hundreds of bedrooms across the country for these deserving kids and their waiting list is growing fast. Each child’s room is designed and assembled by volunteer designers and crews, and is completely funded by individuals, local businesses and corporations, family, and community and faith organizations. These bedrooms are created with no cost to the child’s family and this is all possible because of generous people who are willing to contribute in whatever way they can.
The mission of this organization really touches my heart - even more so now that I’m a Mom myself and being able to help even in this small way is an amazing birthday gift. The first $200 I raise will be matched by CrowdRise so please help me raise lots of money for Special Spaces for my 34th birthday by clicking the Donate button to the right.
I really appreciate your support and the kids that Special Spaces will be able to help will appreciate it even more.
Thanks so much and so much love.
