I work for a really great organization called Splash that provides clean water for kids in seven countries around the world - Ethiopia, China, Cambodia, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam and India.
In a recent (2012) study of tap water in schools in Calcutta, India, Splash found that 71% of water (directly from the schools' faucets) tested positively for total coliform and 55% tested positively for E.coli. This is water in schools just to be clear.
In total shock of these stats, I decided this holiday season I wanted to do something a little different. I want to try and gather as many people as I can to help give kids around the world the gift of clean water. I mean who doesn't love making kids smile :).
I'll also be making some homemade cookies (hand delivered or mailed to your doorstep!) as a thank you to all of you wonderful people who help me meet my goal.
Your donation will be part of Splash's larger Future of Water campaign (that has the goal of raising $200,000 by December 31st!)
Thank you for helping give the gift of clean water to kids around the world!
