EVENT DATE Nov 01, 2015

I have now completed my masters degree requirements, all I have left is the internship portion. I worked for Sporting KC for free for 6 months in 2014, but due to credit transfers, the credit did not count. I have been searching for approximately 5 months for an internship anywhere in the USA, most at universities for very little pay, no relocation costs or housing help, and I have had zero luck. On a whim I chose to reach out to a team in the Australian Baseball League, and after an awesome Skype chat, we both agreed I should be a part of it! I will have the title of Marketing and Promotions Manager and Operations Assistant. Unfortunately, the ABL- which is owned by MLB- is still a fairly small organization (6 national teams) so they have very limited funds and run greatly on volunteers (interns). They know the value we bring to the table and do their best to help us find a host family as well as any part time work to help with financials while we are away. All of this said, I am still responsible for a flight, a visa, paying 6 credits worth of tuition, and the ease of mind of having some money put away for emergencies (can anyone say kangaroo kick to the face?!) I don't usually do well asking for money, but this amazing opportunity isn't something I can do entirely on my own. Anything helps, and EVERYTHING is appreciated. I promise I'll send everyone who donates pictures of koalas!

(If anyone would prefer to donate another way -Crowdrise collects >3%- please just let me know!)
