I joined the South Bay Children's Health Center team about eighteen months ago as I absolutely loved the services they offered to families in the community. All children should be able to access quality health services, but the sad reality is that they can't. Families living on low incomes are often forced to view mental health care and dental care as "luxuries," when in fact both are vital to a child's health, well-being and ability to thrive! Today, as the Director of Development, I'm challenging 50 people to make a donation of $10.00 (or more if you can) to support our annual "Champions for Children" fundraising Run/Walk and help me raise $500 which can do so much good. Then, I want to challenge another 50 people to participate as fundraisers in this event. What a difference an additional $25,000 would make in the provision of dental and counseling support for kids in need.
I am so very lucky to go to work every day at a place that I love, where kids are learning to smile again and parents have the confidence in us to know we're caring for their kids in the best way possible - and you are a part of making that happen. If you can run with us, I'll see you on July 16th and if you can't - join the challenge anyway! Thank you. Lisa
