EVENT: Lake Loop 2014
EVENT DATE: Oct 12, 2014
Lisa and I are riding as the JetSet Cycle Team, raising funds to protect Lake Hopatcong. If you're not familiar, Lake Hopatcong is New Jersey's largest lake, a treasure for our region and an environmentally senstive area. Like all other government funding, funds to protect the lake have been radically cut over the years. We are asking our family and friends to chip in with any modest donations to help us with this cause. The lake is about 11 miles long with more than 25 miles of shore line. This is a challenging ride and we are hoping to make it count!
Thanks for any support you can lend!
Wish us luck--
The JetSet Cycle Team: Steve & Lisa Crimando
First wave goes out 9:30am
Come enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Hopatcong on a scenic bike ride or 3-mile walk to raise funds for NJ’s largest lake! The cycling course will go clockwise around the lake and consist of approximately 20 miles of rolling terrain. This course is not flat but, there are no significant hills that might deter those looking for an enjoyable ride. The 40 mile course includes a hilly 20 mile extension added to the middle of the 20 mile course. The 3 mile walk will take participants down through King’s Cove and around Bertrand’s Island before heading back to the finish line at Nixon School. 'GET FIT' for the lake, when you register and create your own fundraising page, reach out to friends and family to support you on your journey. Prizes will be awarded for fundraising accomplishments. An adult parent or guardian must accompany each rider younger than 18. No trikes or training wheeled bicycles allowed. Helmets are required. All fees and donations are non-refundable. This event will go on rain or shine.
