A community fun run/walk featuring a post-run festival with music provided by 93.9 MyFM, delicious food from local Food Trucks, a Kids' Zone with fun fitness activities provided by My Gym Wheaton, and the opportunity to meet Ozzie from the Kane County Cougars.
All registered participants will receive a Foodie 5K long-sleeved dry-fit t-shirt, a voucher to a Kane County Cougar home game of your choice and a $2 voucher to be used at a food truck during the event.

7:30 am: Parking Opens
7:30-8:30 am: Packet pick-up
9:00 am: Race Starts
9:30-12:00 pm: Post-race festival with awards, entertainment, food trucks, a kids zone, and vendor booths.
The location of your registration packet pick-up must be determined upon registration. We encourage you to pick up your packet prior to race day.

Parking and Facilities
Ample free parking for race participants and volunteers is available close to the Visitors Center so participants can leave gear in their car.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall finishers in each age group.

All registered runners will receive a $2 voucher for a food truck tasting of your choice.

Bicycles, in-line skates, roller skates, scooters, and pets will not be allowed on the course. Baby strollers and wheelchairs must start after and remain behind runners for the entire race. The Foodie 5K is rain or shine; please dress appropriately. Please feel free to enjoy the Cantigny grounds after the event.

Northern Illinois Food Bank is excited to announce a partnership with Kopf Running for the inaugural Foodie 5K. Kopf Running is an endurance coaching company that specializes in working with charity athletes. Coach Seth provides customized training programs for any distance race as a certified running coach through USA Track & Field and the Road Runner’s Club of America, and creates programs personalized to the individual, and the programs are easy to follow – for both the beginner and experienced runner.
Through Kopf Running, Foodie 5K participants can take advantage of discounted training services. Any race participant that purchases a customized training program will also receive weekly training & nutrition tips as well as “Ask the Coach” email/phone support. Coach Seth will work with each team member to create a personalized training plan, no matter if you are participating in your very first 5K or if you are attempting to set a personal best!
