Not quite a year ago Colin Liscord, then 16 years old, was in a serious car accident on his way home from his school’s play practice which resulted in multiple fractures and a severe traumatic brain injury. After being in a coma for a week and in a step down unit for another week at Maine Medical Center in Portland he was sent to Spaulding Rehab Hospital in Charlestown unable to
walk, talk, or eat.
One month later he walked out of Spaulding and came home to resume his
life. We credit his miraculous recovery to his unfaltering determination, the overwhelming support we continue to receive from our community, and the exceedingly qualified team of nurses, doctors and, especially, therapists he had at Spaulding. Colin, his sister Hannah, his brother Noah, and his mother Lisa are running in the Falmouth Road Race on August 16th to raise funds for Spaulding Hospital. Please consider a contribution to help support Spaulding.
