I have always been a fairly active, adventurous person. But since child #3 my weight has been inching up and once I hit my 50th birthday, I realized I needed to do something if I wanted to continue being active in the second half of my life. I want to be healthy for my family and the adventures still ahead. It’s been tough for me to discipline myself to exercise and eat a healthy diet on a regular basis. But I have set a challenge for myself! I am committed to exercising at Copper Moose Fitness and sharing everything that I eat via texts/pictures with Coach Joseph. But that is not all. And that’s where YOU come into the picture. I have set a goal to lose 20 pounds in 12 weeks. I am also setting a goal to raise money for Bread for the World. I am asking you to make a donation IF I am able to reach my goal of losing 20 pounds. Now my choices are not just about me but about something bigger than myself! (Pun intended) I recognize that the ability to choose what I eat is a privilege. That’s why I chose Bread for the World to be my charity. BFTW works to change policies, programs and conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist. Their goal is to make our nation’s laws fairer and more compassionate for those who struggle with hunger in the US and around the world. As you donate to this cause, keep in mind that while I choose to eat healthier, you choose to help people eat. Thank you for considering my challenge!
