Join us in updating our look and cleaning up the shelter for our residents.
For the last 39 years, Women’s Transitional Living Center (WTLC) has been Orange County’s largest domestic violence shelter and service provider. You have been an integral part of that success and we hope we can count on your support this holiday season.
With a vision of ending the cycle of violence, WTLC’s mission is to help individuals and families escape the depths of domestic violence and exploitation. To do so, WTLC provides the tools and resources to build self-esteem and empower people for independent living. We strive to Honor, Empower, and Restart the lives of survivors and their children.
WTLC is the oldest domestic violence shelter in Orange County and the third oldest in the nation, and our services are needed now more than ever. Thanks to your support, last year we served more individuals than ever before. WTLC provided shelter to 675 individuals (including 300 children), and promoted the prevention of abuse through education to over 20,000 individuals. Our 24-hour bilingual crisis hotline provided support to almost 2,800 survivors and our Advocates provided critical support services such as counseling, transportation assistance, career training, empowerment groups, and legal advocacy.
