We average advocates are wearing the same Little Black Dress (or shirt) for a month to raise money for development and relief aid where there are are food crises.
(Currently Elisa Johnston, Gary Edwards, and Cindy Bryan are the fundraisers for this project.)
In Africa alone, there are multiple areas where people are fighting to stay alive, due to these crises. This past summer, the worst famine in 60 years began, and it is still greatly effecting Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya. Also in South Sudan and an area called the Sahel there is an extreme need for help. Read What is Famine? Defining Hunger around the World to learn more.

A Note About Donations
All donations through this page are given the four star rated charity, Convoy of Hope which focuses on meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of those whom they assist. Convoy of Hope is going out of their way to specifically give any of our donations from this fundraiser to relief and developement in the areas of Africa which are struggling the most at this time.
I also have fundraising pages set up to donate to two different organizations as well:
Action Against Hunger is a top rated organization donating to food crises around the world.
World Vision is also a top rated Christian humanitarian organization. Please be aware that the donations to them are not guaranteed to go to providing emergency aid, as these will go to their general fund.
You can also donate to your charity of choice among those who do relief and development work for food crises. There are many others I would recommend as doing something great! Please consider this list of charities that have been given a Four Star rating who alleviate hunger/thirst.
Regardless, please enter your donation elsewhere as an offline cash donation on this specific page, so that we will know how much we have raised together!
Thank you so so much!
