Chili and Caesar are both rescues. Their mom, Leslie, adopted Chili four years ago and adopted Caesar this month. Although the economy can be tough, Leslie decided to give these two dogs (Chili - 11 yrs, and Caesar - 1 yr) a forever home. Most of their care (food, minor medical, treats/toys) is covered by Leslie's income. But, both dogs need major teeth cleaning, Chili has a small growth on his elbow that needs to be removed, and Caesar has an extra row of teeth that need to be removed. While the total for these procedures will run around $2500, Leslie hopes to raise $5000. $2500 will go toward Chili & Caesar, and the additional $2500 will go into the "Buttercup Fund" that Leslie's veterinarian, Dr. River May created at his animal hospital. Dr. May's practice - the Capitola Veterinary Hospital - created the fund to help pet owners obtain services for their beloved pets that they otherwise would not be able to afford. It's Leslie's wish to help add money to this fund to help other pet owners who are experiencing a tough time financially but need care for their pets. Any donations received over $2500 will be donated to the Buttercup Fund!
