Living indoors with electric is important

In my case it is both complex and simple. Being a 45 year old recently divorced male without children, the cracks in the social service network are evident. Having no family, with friends of limited means, and student loans on hiatus, there is no where to turn. College educated, yet perennially having been un-to-underemployed has been continual. While physical capacity has diminished, my cognitive capacity is still intact.

As of yesterday, my utilities were disconnected and, at best, struggle to pay my utilities and basic month to month expenses (I prepaid my lease for two years and is good through April 2015). While having survived worse, the difficulties magnify as one sinks lower and lower. And that is what I hope to avoid! Currently, I am using the local library's internet access and walk everywhere. There is no cable, wifi, phone, etc. at my home nor transportation. Yes, I even backpack what I can handle and afford from the three mile grocery store hike.

While searching for any job within walking distance, it is essential to maintain heated and running water and ability to prepare basic meals. A job, any job I can live on is the solution. With basic transportation, looking in Greenville, NC would become possible, but not at the moment.

Over the years I've been in a position to assist folks here and there and some non-profits. I never ask for a return or quid-pro-qou; I gave freely. Further, guilt trips, conning, manipulation and all the like are abysmal. I firmly believe and adhere to treating people as an end within themselves, not a means to and end!

I listed the fundraiser at $1000. That would catch me up (two months plus $25 late fee plus $35 reconnect fee ~$285) and the remainder I would prepay utilities and purchase basic supply (bathroom paper, dish soap, bath soap, laundry detergent, deodorant, necessity printing at the library, necessity stamps, etc.)

I end where I began: Is the whole greater than the sum of its parts? Being just one part I hope the whole of society is, indeed, greater.

Have a great day!

Thank you for your time, consideration, and thoughtfulness,
