Living Kidney and Liver Donor Support House

Yay, American Living Organ Donor Network!
January 08, 2017
I'm a surgical technician who works in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant at the University of Minnesota hospital. Living kidney and liver donors need everyone's support. They give a part of their body to better someone else's life. This is a tough decision to make and the social, familial, financial, and health ramifications are extraordinary. I want to start a non-profit where living organ donors can stay affordably in a single-family house in a quaint neighborhood while they meet with transplant teams to work through the entire process of donation. A home away from home, a place to stay, with staff that provides answers to all the questions donors may have, away from the medical community, that focuses exclusively on a donor's well-being for any issue they face during donation, and throughout their lives after donation. This house is an example of the kind of house the non-profit will be in. Visit my website: livingdonorsupporthouse.com
In the event that the non-profit does not become established, proceeds of donations will go to ALODF (American Living Organ Donor's Fund), and money will go to helping potential living donors fulfill donation.
