: I feel that I would best represent the nation for the Ms Veteran America pageant because in the most humble way possible, I embody what it means to be a well-rounded woman and war veteran. I take pride in professionalism and helping other men and women to grow themselves in every pillar of life: education, health and fitness, compassion, leadership and confidence. With all my heart, I give without abandon and allow others to see my feminine side, while still proving that I can keep up intellectually and physically with any man that dare puts me to the challenge. I represent what it means to not ever be the weakest link, and not ever let my lipstick and smile be the reason that I move forward with a successful career inside or out of the military. I do not have the word failure in my vocabulary and I am always able to see the silver lining by using my own examples from the past. By the age of 25 I had seen some of the most horrific scenarios by assisting in the preparation of remains overseas and standing over caskets of 18 year old men and women just learning to embrace life. I have held spouses of lost loved ones in my arms and I set the example for my troops to follow by emphasizing the importance of education, fitness and personal responsibility. At the age of 28 I can safely say that I live life without abandon or regret and take great pride in my ability to balance military discipline and the grace and poise of being a woman.
