Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and to consider supporting this wonderful program I have chosen to raise funds for. As many of you know, education has always been my calling. Keeping kids supported and motivated to stay in school continues to be a challenge. Resiliency for Life is a voluntary academic intervention and dropout prevention program that develops skills and confidence in students with social difficulties who are at-risk of academic failure. They work in partnership with the Framingham Public Schools to support many of our students. Being a teacher in Framingham, I've seen the positive affect this program can have on student lives.
I started running only a few short years ago after my third little guy was born. I mostly did it as a way to preserve my sanity when having three kids under three could be challenging (to say the least). Running has become both such a physical and a mental lifesaver for me. It makes me be a better person. I run for me, my friends and family, and all of my students. Ever since my early years at Kamp For Kids, through my time at Boston College and Perkins School for the Blind, and now with my kiddos in Framingham, I've always believed in empowering kids to be the best they can be. Run, walk, crawl, scoot, roll, wiggle...we all need to move!!!
Thanks so much for supporting me along this journey. This will be my second marathon and my first Boston. I am so excited (and nervous too)! But I am ready to give it my best and will remember to take time and enjoy the ride...
Much Love & Thanks!!!
