BENEFITING: AMERICAN LIVER FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Jan 13, 2013
Many of you know that I enjoy running in races, whether it is a 5k, half-marathon or my one (and only) marathon. While along the way some of my registration fees have gone to support good causes, I have never really run for anything other than myself - my fitness, my PRs, or sometimes, if we're being honest, just a cute t-shirt.
In January, I am proud to be a part of the Liver Life Challenge Team, running the Disney Half-Marathon on behalf of the American Liver Foundation.
Because 30 million Americans are living with some form of liver disease, including my dear grandma, Anna, who suffers from autoimmune hepatitis, and as a result, cirrhosis of her liver.
Liver disease does not get the attention of other diseases because many people mistakenly think that only alcoholics suffer from this disease. This is simply not true. My grandma, and many others, are proof of this.
Please support me as I run 13.1 miles in support of my grandma, and the 30 million Americans living with liver disease.
Thank you for your support!
