As members of Team New England that went to the 2012 Little League World Series we befriended many players from all over the world including a team from Lugazi, Uganda. On our first night in Williamsport, we met the guys from Team Uganda. We had a great time together talking baseball, telling jokes and playing ping pong. We practiced with our new friends and really got to know them and their stories. After watching our new fiends drink the water in the swimming pool because they had never seem so much clean water, we reallized just how good we have it back home. After the tournament was over, and everyone headed home, our Team decided we wanted to do something for our new friends from Uganda. In order to pay it forward,we have banded together as a team and partnered with The Water Trust to build a well in a village in Uganda where clean water is scarce and sickness due to poor sanitation and hygiene is prevalent. Please help us raise funds to construct the well and make a long lasting, life changing impact for the village of Kisindizi-Kigesera and to honor Team Uganda.
We may not be able to change the whole world but we can change the world of this one village. Please consider helping us....we have many ways to participate.
As always, thank you for the support!
