BENEFITING: BUCKEYE CLINIC IN SOUTH SUDAN
My name is Lola and I just finished reading a Long Walk To Water with my class. I recently got the chance to interview a Lost Boy of Sudan named Bol Aweng www.bolaweng.com. As part of my project I am raising awareness and money for the people of Sudan. They are all going through a huge crisis. Water loss, war, waterborne diseases, to name a few. The clinic I am raising funds for is called the Buckeye clinic. http://buckeyeclinic.org/ The Buckeye clinic founders are Bol Aweng and Jok Dau. They help the people in the Piol village, which is located in Jonglei state, Sudan. The clinic provides medical care for patients who have Malaria, Guinea worm, Malnutrition, other ailments, and minor injuries. They also help women who are having problems with pregnancy in the Emergency Medical Transport. The clinic has healed 10,000 people in Piol and the surrounding villages. I will be hosting a Lemonade stand in Jersey City, NJ this week, but if you cannot make it, please help fund this project by donating anything you can. Thank you!
