Lollipop Kids Foundation exists to combat social stigmas, ease financial burdens and provide a comfortable and fun environment for families and children with disabilities to connect with, learn from and support one another. Lollipop Kids Foundation believes that every child with a disability should have access to durable medical equipment, resources and social opportunities that allow them to live to their fullest potential. To date, Lollipop Kids Foundation has donated over $2 million in durable medical equipment to children and young adults who would have to forgo this medically necessary equipment if our programs did not exist. Our equipment closet has over 350 pieces of durable medical equipment at any given time. Of these, 10% require repairs before they can be donated to a child or young adult in need. For example, we have a $3,000 adapted tricyle (insurance typicall doesn't cover these) that needs need tires. The tires cost $350. The money raised from the Bay Bridge run will support these types of repairs.
