Looking Out For Baby Bear
Organized by: Rachel Fletcher
Just after my best friend C woke up from her coma, she sent me this message:
"I am a miracle. In my mind. I collapsed on the 25th of last month. I had two different types of pneumonia and something happened to my spleen. Had they tried to resuscitate in the event that my heart had stopped, my spleen would have likely exploded and I would have bled out. But something happened that I can't explain that knocked me down, and I collapsed. I didn't wake back up until April 2nd. I spent all that time out in the icu, where my family basically lived and prayed for my recovery by the minute, and somehow, I woke up and made the most massive recovery the moment I could breathe again."
Through this experience of C's she has been incredibly positive and insightful, as this message shows.
Anyways, as time has gone by, her mother has had to leave her job to care for C and they continue to work through all of this with much wisdom and laughter. They are not people to ask for help, but they do need simple comforts while they are going through this intense process.
