Lori started swimming competitively at age 8 and continues her swimming "career" to this day (with a few years off here and there!) She is currently a member of Michigan Matters/F.A.S.T. (Ford Athletic Swim and Triathlon group) and her favorite open water location is Lake Huron near Lexington, Michigan. Past swim team affiliations include: Miami University, Birmingham Bloomfield Atlantis, Farmington Stingrays, Birmingham Swim Club, Groves High School, Berkshire Junior High and Woodside Athletic Club. Past swimming honors include All State Recognition in high school and college and being a proud member of the Miami University team to win the first established M.A.C. Swimming Championship for women.
Swimming continues to be a very positive aspect of Lori's life with many friendships garnered over the years and she welcomes the opportunity to give back to others by participating in The Mighty Mac Swim to benefit Habitat for Humanity.
Lori has been in the advertising industry since receiving her B.S. in Business Administration from Miami University and her M.A. in Advertising from Michigan State University. Her current position is at the Detroit and Pacific Northwest Director for Men's Journal and Mensjournal.com. She resides in Troy, Michigan with her daughters, Amanda and Katie Rankin.
