HikeMF is an annual fundraiser for Myelofibrosis, a rare blood cancer with no cure.
In August 2014, my sister, Julie Rittenburg Libon, was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis. She and I immediately felt an urgency to become proactive to find a cure for this disease that affects 16,000-18,000 people.
Hence, HikeMF was born.
Together with our families, we annually organize HikeMF, a hike through beautiful Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in our hometown of Sharon, MA, to bring awareness to Myelofibrosis and raise money for research and ultimately a cure.
We are again proud to have all donations go to the MPN Research Foundation, who this year will earmark them specifically to Dr. George M. Church, PhD, Harvard Medical School. (Http://www.mpnresearchfoundation.org/2015-George-Church)
Thank you so much for supporting me to help support my sister in this fight against Myelofibrosis!
