Hi everyone (who I have sent this to),

I know it's important for me to get myself into better shape, and I thought this virtual half marathon was a good way to get started on that commitment. I put off sending my story hoping I would get some pictures or something, but I didn't and now it's down to the wire. I have actually kept the commitment to walk even though I didn't send asking for donations, but I am now. The money goes to UCS, which is a non-profit organization that offers help and inpiration to all kinds of people in all kinds of ways. So, if you'd like to support them and me (for my walking efforts and starting my efforts to become more active), please hit the link and donate. I don't have a monetary "goal," but I do have a goal of getting started and then to keep moving on better fitness. I haven't walked every day, but I have walked many of them and hope to be at UCS Saturday morning to do another 1.1 miles (which really will contribute to my total of quite a bit more than 13.1, but I admit I did stretch it out over the month).

Join United Counseling Service for a Mind Over Miles Virtual Half Marathon from July 1st to July 29th. Log your 12 miles and then join us for a 1.1 mile celebration event on July 29th at 9am at 100 Ledge Hill Drive in Bennington, VT. Medals will be given out to all registered participants. Share this goal with family and friends to raise money to support a UCS Client Wellness Fund.

What: UCS Mind Over Miles Virtual Half Marathon to support Client Wellness Program

When: Sunday July 1 – Saturday, July 29, 2017

Where: Anywhere & Everywhere! Any city, any location in the world. You can map your own course and you choose where you want to run/walk.

Who: All ages and all abilities. Walkers are welcome! Goal: To run/walk a total of 13.1 miles though the month of July. Honestly log your miles using your Fitbit, phone, or paper!

Join us for final 1.1 mile run/walk on July 29th at 9am and receive your Finisher's Medal.
