Now that we have begun the new year, it’s clear that we are about to face some of our toughest challenges yet.
The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) advocacy group — whose mission is to create a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.
As an organization, HRC's focus is equality for LGBTQ people. Whether you are in California or Kansas or Maine, you deserve laws that protect you and treat you fairly. You deserve employers and medical providers who value you and are committed to helping you succeed.
HRC is committed to fighting politically for fair laws that protect LGBTQ people. We are already seeing so-called "Religious Freedom" bills introduced in several state legislatures and the nomination of anti-LGBTQ members of the new presidential administration. With a Supreme Court vacancy, unknown executive orders pending, and federal legislation threatening funding critical to the LGBTQ community and our allies, there is much work to do.
LGBTQ people have experienced devastating setbacks and struggles from our earliest days. We know what it’s like to be the target of zealots and extremists -- even to fear for our own safety. Throughout our history, despite the challenge, we have mobilized, organized and always fought back. But we’ve never done it alone.
We need you in this fight, today more than ever before. Take your concern and turn it into action. Help us tell the world that Love Will Conquer Hate.
We need you to stand with us now more than ever before.
Every donation of $5+ that you recruit from your friends and family helps strengthen our grassroots army and raises critical funds before Inauguration Day.
Everything we have fought for, and everything we have accomplished is on the line. But together, we can protect our progress — and we can continue to make our world a safer, more inclusive place for LGBTQ people.
Together, we will move forward and advance equality — no matter what it takes.
