The Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR is an annual, charity motorcycle ride through major U.S. cities that includes multiple high-profile events at Kiehl’s stores along the way to raise HIV/AIDS awareness and funds to help amfAR find a cure. The 6th Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR is a 2,100-mile long journey that begins in Denver, CO on August 3 and ends in San Diego, CA on August 15. Why Support Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR? Nearly 37 million people are living with HIV/AIDS today. An estimated 50,000 new HIV infections occur in the U.S. every year. Every day, nearly 5,700 people contract HIV – that’s roughly 240 every hour. More than 4,000 people die of AIDS-related causes every day. Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 40 million people have died of AIDS-related causes, including 1.2 million last year. amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, is dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research.
