BENEFITING: Court Appointed Special Advocate of Humboldt
EVENT: CASA Kid Walk 2013
EVENT DATE: Oct 12, 2013
We are raising funds to offer support for abused and neglected children by participating in the CASA Kid Walk. This is our first year in this annual event and our Kid Walk team is trying to raise as much money as we can to support the children that CASA of Humboldt serves.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA of Humboldt is a non‐profit organization that recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in court. CASA volunteers speak for abused children who would otherwise have no voice, helping to ensure that they are placed in safe, nurturing homes and get the services they need to heal and thrive. Advocates also make a commitment to the child, to be a consistent and stable person in their life throughout the court process.
