As the nation's leading experiential and outdoor education non-profit since 1961, Outward Bound USA serves over 35,000 students of all ages and circumstances each year through challenging learning expeditions that inspire strength of character, leadership and service to others. The positive outcomes Outward Bound students experience include: increased self-confidence; heightened awareness and respect for the interdependence of individuals; and a desire to make a positive difference in their own lives and in the lives of others. Through shared challenge and adversity, failure and success, students discover and develop new skills, confidence and passion. It is through this character education that Outward Bound accomplishes their vision to create a more resilient and compassionate world through the development of more resilient and compassionate citizens.
This is incredibly valuable work, which is why we are asking our community to help us raise at least $2,500 to allow Outward Bound USA to continue to change lives through challenge and discovery, and help give even more deserving students the opportunity to go on course.
