THE STORY:

Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence wrote -

Help us make a brighter future for Louisiana.

Louisiana women face staggering inequalities: we have one of the worst gender wage gaps in the nation, more than 1 in 5 Louisiana women and girls live in poverty, and Louisiana women are murdered by intimate partners at a rate more than twice the national average.

These facts paint a stark picture, but the Louisiana we know is better than this.

We know Louisiana is strong, and we know Louisiana steps up when faced with challenges like these.

That's where the Purple Purse Challenge comes in. If we raise the most funds by October 25th, LCADV will win $100,000 for our economic empowerment efforts.

LCADV fights for economic empowerment at every level. From supporting employment protections for survivors through our policy work to funding matching savings programs for survivors in local communities, we won't stop working until all Louisiana citizens can live free of financial abuse.

We are counting on you. Please give now and help LCADV win $100,000 to fund economic empowerment work across Louisiana.
