In an effort to ameliorate the overpopulation of abandoned, abused and stray dogs and cats, a group of five friends have decided to answer the call for action and to make the effort to rescue and give these animals the lives they deserve. As a result, we have created Love for Paws, a nonprofit 501c3 animal rescue organization. The organization’s mission is to rescue as many animals as we can from local Animal Shelters, as well as dogs that have been removed from their homes by OICA (Animal Cruelty Investigators Organization). Then we prepare them to fly to a No-Kill partner shelter or rescue organization in the United States where they might have an opportunity of adoption.
The dogs selected to be rescued are spayed or neutered and receive all required vaccines at a cost of $110.00 per dog. Dogs are fostered for two weeks before flying to our partners in the U.S. This will ensure that each dog is healthy and prepared to make the journey. The animals will be medically cleared by a licensed DVM prior to being transported to the U.S. The money donated will be used primarily for veterinary services, foster care and transport.
