A couple of years ago, I spent the summer as an intern at Cornerstone South LA where I helped the church plan and run a kids camp. The purpose of the camp is to provide a safe, fun, Christ-centered place for kids to spend their afternoons. Living in the inner city, so many of these kids have experienced more fear and tragedy in their young lives than I can imagine and the opportunity to be a part of their lives is both overwhelming and humbling. Therefore, this June and July I will be returning to Cornerstone to continue building relationships with the kids and planting seeds in their lives.
This summer, along with serving the kids, I will be the Lead Intern for the camp serving as the physical and spiritual leader for the other male interns. I will have the opportunity to encourage the interns and help them grow in their relationship with God, as well as spending time with the children each day.
At the end of July our group will be travelling to Roatan, Honduras to serve alongside a local orphanage running a summer camp and games for local orphans. I am so excited for this opportunity to bring the love of Jesus into the hearts of these children.
I am currently trying to raise $1800 for the trip to Honduras. I would greatly appreciate any help whether financially or through prayer. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you all.
