BENEFITING: FRIENDS OF THE LIVONIA PUBLIC LIBRARY
Make a donation to the Friends of the Livonia Public Library in honor of Dee Dee Dittmar.
Violet “Dee Dee” Dittmar was a loving, inspirational Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend who will always be remembered for her passion for life, love for friends and family, sense of humor and dedication to service and volunteerism.
Dee Dee was an active community volunteer who lent her talents to such groups as the Livonia Town Hall, Greenmead and Friends of the Livonia Library. An avid reader, Dee Dee devoted her time to the Friends of the Livonia Public Library, serving on the board for the past five years. She served as a volunteer at the group’s book sales and donated time to work at the book store to raise money for the library’s programs.
She was also one of two founding members of Friends of Greenmead, which has raised thousands of dollars on garden walks and Christmas walks to help pay for restoring Newburg Church, rebuilding Blue House, refurbishing Hill House and beautifying the Greenmead Historical Village grounds.
She was a loving mother to four children: Wendi Stull, Perri Frost, Dani-Sue, and John. A Grandmother to nine and a Great-Grandmother to three.
Mom, Grandma Dee Dee, “GG” – we love you and we miss you.
