BENEFITING: American Red Cross
EVENT DATE: Dec 09, 2012
While I feel fortunate to be out of harm's way, it's been difficult to watch Sandy and her aftermath unfold from across the country, and to feel so distant from my family, friends and home. And as I've viewed the heartbreaking images on a computer screen, I've wondered what I could do to help from so far away. I signed up for the Santa to the Sea Half Marathon months ago, just for the hell of it, but decided maybe I could run for a purpose instead. I'm not sure how much this effort will raise, but I believe in times like these, every little bit counts. So if you haven't already given and you have a bit to spare, or you just want to give some more, you can throw some funds to the Red Cross via this site. And I promise that my thoughts will be with the East Coast as I run toward the West.
Many thanks and much love,
