The board members of Lowcountry Pet Allies have witnessed first-hand the devastation of euthanasia in shelters due to the high unwanted pet population. We knew it was time to take action and created a non-profit organization to tackle the root cause—pets not being spayed/neutered. In our extremely low-income, rural area we see families struggling to pay their own bills so asking them to pay for their pets to be spayed/neutered seemed to be an impossible task. It was our goal to take the financial barrier away and cover 100% of the surgery cost. Of course, none of this would have been possible without Dr. Sease and Hampton Animal Hospital! Since August 2015, LPA has provided funding for 130 pets in our area. Each month we are approached by many pet owners wishing to have their pets spayed/neutered. LPA relies on donations in order to provide funding and keep up with the high demand.
Lowcountry Pet Allies does not have administrative fees or salaries to cover; therefore, donors can rest assured that all funds are used directly for funding of the spay/neuter surgeries.
