Life isn't always easy for us, but for children growing up in foster care, children whose families have been separated, children waiting for an adoptive family, children and adults with developmental, intellectual and physical disabilities and Refugee families and children arriving in the United States who otherwise may face persecution in their own countries, it's even harder to adjust to a new way of life. When you meet these wonderful individuals, you realize how truly precious life can be when we give a little of ourselves to those less fortunate. Lutheran Services of Georgia has an opportunity for all runners, walkers and supporters to be healthy and happy by joining and/or supporting our Rock 'n' Roll Marathon team, Heroes for Hope, at the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in Savannah, Georgia on Nov. 8, 2014. We need your help to make this event a success. Team members will run (or walk) the marathon, 1/2 marathon, or 2-person 1/2 marathon relay to raise money to support Lutheran Services of Georgia's foster care, family intervention, adoption, individuals with disabilities and refugee & immigration services. Please support us by making a tax-deductible donation to our team or by joining our team and fundraising with us (note: you do not have to participate in the marathon to raise money for LSG). We are excited about this event and hope you are too. As a team member, you are asked to raise a minimum of $250, however the more you raise, the more incentives you receive while helping others. Everyone who joins the Heroes for Hope Team will receive information, marathon & health tips, fundraising tips and great gifts up through the event. Our Team goal is $10,000, wouldn't it be grand to help LSG raise funds to support the children and families we serve in Georgia!!! Please contact Terri Medina at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 404-591-7067 for more information. Happy running (or walking)!
