BENEFITING: ANGELS OF AMERICAS FALLEN

EVENT DATE: Jan 31, 2016

Jennifer Carazo

THE STORY:

On July 22, 2010, my husband, Lieutenant Colonel Mario Carazo was shot down and killed while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan. Since Mario’s death, many organizations have reached out to support our family.

One of those organizations, Angels of America's Fallen has made a significant impact on our family. Angels of America’s Fallen honors ALL of our fallen; those who fell in training, in combat, from illness while serving, and from invisible wounds after their service. We recognize the sacrifice they made, and the sacrifices their families continue to make EVERY day. We believe we have an obligation to help the children of the fallen as they grow up without their parent. It’s an honor to get them involved in positive activities with a coach or instructor who can mentor them.

Angels of America’s Fallen is committed to helping children of our fallen military and first responders develop into strong and successful adults by providing them positive mentoring and developmental activities when they are at their most crucial developmental phase of life. Both Mario and Milla are supported by Angels, in their respected activities of tennis and dance. Their support has enabled my children to fulfill their personal goals as well as add to their emotional well-being.

During the last five years, we have found healing through helping other families of the fallen. As such, we will be hosting  the Lieutenant Colonel Mario Carazo Barbeque and Beers on January 31st at Kansas City Barbeque ( 12-4) ($25 a plate)  to support children that are currently on the Angel's waiting list. By helping these families, we continue Mario’s mission of taking care of others.  Additionally, at the event, we will be selling commemorative bottle openers from Bullets2Bandages and Dog Tag Brewing has graciosuly donated items for us to sell. Please see the above info regarding the event. Feel free to share this link and information. We just need RSVPs by January 26th.  carazojennifer@gmail.com

For those not able to attend, please consider making a donation through the link at aoafallen.org

Bullets2Bandages has created a link if you would like to order a commemorative bottle opener. The price includes shipping and 40% of the profits will go directly to Angels of America's Fallen.
