Many servicemen/women are returning from combat suffering from Post Traumatic Stress and/or Traumatic Brain Injuries. Because these injuries are not visible and many times, not believable, soldiers are left untreated, losing touch with society, families, friends and themselves. The suicide rate for those suffering and not being treated is 22 soldiers per day. Our organization the Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II Memorial Fund has organized the K9 Sgt. Denny Project. Through this project we have been purchasing service dogs, 98% of which are rescued dogs themselves, who are specifically trained to aid our wounded warriors. They provide the servicemen/women with a new lease on life, get them back into society and most of all, get them off of prescription drugs. Please help us by donating today to save a soldier and a dog.
