Luke Family Medical Missions
Organized by: Hannah Miller
My sister Laura is a pediatrician with a heart and calling to serve others and has selflessly been doing so for as long as I can remember. Along with her husband, Mike, they are a "power team" who give of themselves on a daily basis without a desire or need for recognition. Since December 2013, Laura and her wonderful family have been serving at a hospital and orphanage in Zacapa, Guatemala, caring for children that are facing various health issues. Laura works as a head physician at the hospital, while Mike home-schools their 5 amazing girls and manages all the logistics of living abroad for a family of 7, all while showing the love of Jesus to the children living in the orphanage and those who live in their community. If you have had the pleasure of meeting Laura and Mike you know that they are two very special people with hearts of gold and they have been a blessing to so many people that it's now our turn to bless them.
For my 28th birthday I wanted to give them a gift of being able to be in their best space to help others. The funds that are raised in the month (give or take a few days) leading up to my 28th birthday will go directly to their day to day operations (grocery runs, gas for their van, money for visa renewals, etc.) so that they can serve others well without having to be overwhelmed by these financial burdens.
Thank you for helping me support the Luke Family Medical Missions! Their amazing family relies solely on the generosity of others for financial support and I am excited and thankful to bless them in this way!
