BENEFITING: UNITEDHEALTHCARE CHILDRENS FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Jul 24, 2016
Recently I have started to embrace a love of the outdoors and cycling. When I heard about the UHCCF century ride it seemed like the perfect opportunity to improve my cycling endurance while giving to a cause that's important to me. I hope to prove to my supporters that anything is possible through hard work and determination while simultaniously helping families in need. As a child I was in and out of the hospital frequently for everything from pneumonia to severe asthma. This caused my single mother to incur large medical expenses which she wouldn't have been able to cover alone. UHCCF makes an impact on similar families by giving medical grants to help children gain access to health related services not covered, or not fully covered, by their family’s health plan.
This is UHCCF's 5th annual century ride event, and we have a group goal to raise $500,000. I’ve personally committed to fundraise a minimum of $1,000 for this amazing charity. This will be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done both from a fundraising standpoint and a cycling endeavor. I need your support to reach my goal by making a tax deductible donation to my fundraiser.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity. You can find out more information about the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation on their website at www.uhccf.org. Once there, you can view pictures and read the stories of some of the great kids this foundation supports.
