Imagine gathering your friends for a great outdoor adventure. You start in downtown Chattanooga with a delicious meal or craft brew at any of the local restaurants. You and your friends load up your gear, your bike or your boots and prepare to bike or hike from downtown Chattanooga via the Riverwalk, up Lookout Mountain, and to Cloudland Canyon State Park for a great weekend of camping...all without the stress of being blown off the road by cars.
This dream will soon become a reality with the Chattanooga Connector Trail!
The Chattanooga Connector Trail is a 2.9 mile long trail connecting Lula Lake Land Trust to Covenant College and the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. The connector trail will also encompass a 3.1 loop trail for a total of 6 miles of fresh, new singletrack on Lookout Mountain! The Chattanooga Connector Trail will connect to Covenant College and the NPS trails via the Guild-Hardy Trail, which winds its way up Lookout Mountain. Once at the bottom of the mountain, the current construction of the Riverwalk will connect to the Guild-Hardy Trail, encompassing nearly 120 miles of trail, all accessible to downtown Chattanooga!
But we can't do it alone...we need your help!
If every person who likes us on Facebook or follows us on Instagram donates just $10, we can completely fund this project. Your money goes to help construct the new trail, including:
Trailhead kiosks and signs along the trail
General cleaning up and grooming of the trail, along with accessible reroutes
Rental equipment for construction
A necessary bridge over Gerber Branch
