Lupus Charity Runners are a group of both new and seasoned runners who run, bike, or swim to raise funds and awareness for the Lupus Foundation of America, Illinois Chapter (LFAI). Only 4 in 10 Americans have heard of lupus, so our greatest challenge is raising awareness.
While the LFAI does many things, the most important thing we do is help lupus patients find answers, find support, find doctors, find they are not alone. We also work to find lupus causes and a cure. When the phone rings, and someone says they are dealing with something painful, mysterious, scary, we get to say we can help. Thank you for all you do – which allows us to do all we do!
