Lynettes Hard Times
Organized by: lynette boger
Hi my name is Lynette , this is how i got into this situation. My son's father, Bill. came down with tongue cancer in May of 2014. He was admitted to the hospital for a 7 days regimen of chemo and while he was there, delusional from the chemo, he ended up pulling out his feeding tube. When the doctors reinserted his feeding tube it was not put in far enough and Bill ended up poisoned by the very food that was intended to sustain him. Unfortunately this was not discovered for 2 days at which point the doctors did emergency surgery to correct the problem. However, by then the damage was done and Bill slipped into a coma for almost 4 weeks, so the hospital was my new home for the next 3 months.Bill lost his fight on July 26,2014 and by the time he passed my DWP bill was already $4000.00. Since then it was discovered that I have multiple compression fractures along with 2 herniated disks in my neck and have been awaiting a surgery date while learning that the DWP was preparing to turn my power off. I am unable to work due to my neck issues, i have a 16 yr old son living with me, and i have severe respiratory problems (COPD). It really took me a lot to reach out for help but my backs against the wall. my bill is currently $5700.00 and there no way I will be able to pay all of that. Please ,anything you could do to help would be a big blessing and i would greatly appreciate it.. This is the information that I gave to the commissioner and he said they would take care of it. Since that day my power and water were shut off on 4/7/2015 .If I don't get any help we will be sitting in the cold and dark and i'm waiting for a new surgery date because it was originally scheduled for 4/7/2015 but my electric was turned off so there was no way I could do it. The surgery on my neck will be extensive and ill be healing for at least 3 months so please I really need help to get it paid so they can put me on this program the DWP has that will be a minimized bill which I will pay every month.
