Please join us in supporting The Pursuit for those with disABILITIES
CBRE has 34 spots open to visit Mission Control and ride a stationary bike for 30 minutes to support The Pursuit!
Please respond to this email if you are interested in riding, Brittany Thomas is coordinating. Those who choose to ride, will receive 4 philanthropy hours! The ride will take place between 12-5pm on August 4th. If you are interested in participating as a rider, please seek approval from your manager, before sign-up. We want to make sure we don’t have any empty bikes during our time slot!
We are also raising funds to support The Pursuit, and CBRE CARES will match donations of CBRE employees up to 50%. Please follow this link to donate to this cause: https://www.crowdrise.com/lynncirillo-PursuitRide In order for your donation to be matched, you’ll need to donate on this page.
If you have friends that would like to donate as well, we ask that you have them visit Kevin Kushner’s page (more info below) and donate.

This is sure to be a fun event for those that ride, and a great opportunity to support a worthy cause. We appreciate your consideration of this fundraiser!
Our own Kevin Kushner and his wife Brittany, rode 160 miles in this event from Madison, Wisconsin to Chicago, Illinois, please read Kevin’s message:
Friends and Colleagues,
My wife Brittany and I are taking a long bike ride and asking for your support.
We are participating in the “Pursuit” capital campaign to help our friends raise critically important funds for The Center, which provides valuable resources to adults in Houston with intellectual and developmental disABILITIES. Pursuit aims to raise $13 million.
On June 6, 2016, our friend David Baldwin, a longtime board member and supporter of The Center, departed from Astoria, Oregon with the rear wheel of his bicycle in the Pacific Ocean and will ride 3,500 miles, reaching the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Beach, Maryland on August 3. Along the route, David and the Pursuit Team will visit leading organizations, universities and research facilities to garner best practices in serving individuals with disABILITIES. You can follow David’s journey here.
We will join David and a handful of others on a small part of the cross-country route, specifically the 160 miles from Madison, Wisconsin to Chicago, Illinois on July 15 and 16. David’s incredible passion for The Center, the acute need to secure funding so The Center may continue serving adults with disABILITIES, and our desire to assist that community compelled us to join Pursuit (despite the fact neither of us have ridden a bike – other than Brittany in a handful of spin classes – since we were children).
Our fundraising page is linked HERE and includes additional information about Pursuit and The Center. Please call or email me if you have any questions.
David and The Center have set a goal of raising $13.5 million in connection with the capital campaign. Brittany and I hope to play a small part in achieving that objective.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this email.
