EVENT DATE: Nov 18, 2012
Hello and Welcome to my Charity Page!
I want to thank each and every one of you in advance for your support and generous contributions. I am very lucky to have each of you apart of this journey with me.
So, let's kill the curiosity and answer why "M2 Runs for Hartnelldown".
Scott and I started practicing Yoga together a year ago. It was my intention and goal to get Scott mentally and physically healthy and prepped for the 2011-2012 Flyers Hockey Season.
As we worked together, Scott and I built a friendship. I will never forget the day Scott looked at me and asked me "Do you love what you do?" No one has ever asked me this question before, so I was caught off guard by my own response. I said, "Yes because it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with you. I believe in you and I want you to be the best you can be both on and off the ice" Well, Scott took those words and ran with them! Not, only did Scott have one hell of a season on the ice; he took his game off the ice to a whole new level with his "Hartnelldown Foundation".
So over the last year, not only was Scott soaring in his career; so was I! And, I owe a great deal of the evolution of M2 Yoga Productions to Scott. Just as I was believing in him, he never stopped believing in me. We are truly a team. And in being a 'team' player, I want to take on the challenge of running in the Philadelphia Marathon, something I have never done before, and help support a cause near and dear to my teammates' heart! I believe that any successful team supports each other in any way possible.
411 on the "Hartnelldown Foundation":
Scott Hartnell created www.hartnelldown.com, a website that features a counter of how many times he falls during the season. The site also has t-shirts available for purchase, with proceeds going to various charities that Hartnell supports, including the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation in Alberta and a hockey camp in Regina, Saskatchewan, where Hartnell is from.
Ages 12 -18, Scott offers a unique Hockey Camp experience with training and development that he actually does to prepare for his season. He offers a question and answer session and will work out with the kids. Kids will receive an official #hartnelldown Hockey Camp Jersey and welcome package.
#hartnelldown Hockey Camps will be coming to a city near you soon!
