My name is martina abdelmesseh,27 years old, egyptian.i am an architect graduated in 2011.since i graduated i have been looking for a job in egypt to work as an architect. however opportunities are so limited and competation is high.I needed to be more qualified to find a job in which i can grow and feel challenged. when i was in london last september volunteering in a charity, i applied to do masters in architectural and urban design so i can study and became more qualified. i had an interview in the university of brighton. I was accepted and given unconditional offer to start right away the course. However i couldn't start last september because i had to change the visa type. the university kindly deferred the offer to next september.Through this year the egyptian pound has dropped a lot compared with the english pound. last year 1 sterling pound used to equal 11 egyptian pounds. nowadays it equals 23.4 egyptian pounds. i should pay 13000 sterling ( 16,900 $ ) just for the fees of the university which is about 280,800 egyptian pounds.Accommodation and food are not even included. that is a huge amout of money. My family and I can not afford even a quarter of this amout. unfortunately i could not apply for any scholarships for all applications of scholarships were closed last april except only one. if i got it, it will reduce the fees to become 8000 instead of 13000 sterling. To get the tier 4 visa i need to prove that i have all the money i need.
I am in need for your donations to pay the fees of the university. Even if all you can pay is 10$, it will be appreciated and alot to me because1$ equals 18.09 egyptian pounds. when I seached a lot and did't get a job after graduation i thought i will never be an architect but from the day i was accepted in the university of brighton i knew that i still can reach my dream. so i will keep fighting. Remember The little you can pay is always a lot to others. please donate to help me achieve my dream. Thank you very much for your time reading my story.
