BENEFITING: Maasai Wilderness Conservation
I’m launching a new campaign for the holidays to raise at least $12,000 to cover the salary of one doctor working in the Maasai communities.
Last year, I traveled with Edward Norton to Kenya and we got a chance to meet the people of the Maasai wilderness. These people are an amazing group that are not only working to protect the land, wilderness and wildlife, but also to support and maintain their own culture and survival.
While I was there, I was able to visit the schools and health clinics, saw the amazing animals and attended a village community meeting. At the meeting, the elders explained the progress that they were making thanks to the work of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, such as the rise in the lion population, the steady attendance at their schools, and the increase of new doctors at their clinics.
The mission of my new project is to help maintain these developments and to specifically pay for one doctor's salary.
Health care is one of the pillars of the MWCT program.
Let’s celebrate the holidays this year by giving back and help me raise at least enough money to pay a single doctor's salary. Together, we can make a huge impact on this community. You can even make a donation in someone else’s name for the holidays and send an e-Card to let them know about it.
Thanks for all the support and Happy Holidays everybody.
