We realize we have set the following goals very high, we believe and hope people will come through but if for reasons beyond our control they fall short we would like the money to be used to help women secure a home, collaboratively or individually, such as paying 1st last and security deposit, which I might add most people earning $10.oo-$13.oo cannot afford. So please dont be afraid to give it really will help! All of the monies received will be documented and will not be used except for said purposes.
Everyone knows there's an extreme shortage of affordable housing but in this area in particular there is help for every demographic except for single self sufficient women between the ages of 18 and 60. I personally have met numerous women who are struggling to maintain a permanent living situation, with their meagre incomes, some are working women, some have a steady income and some are struggling to keep a job and some are homeless. The homeless poblem in Massachusetts has grown since the middle class is dwindling. Regardless of their circumstances we believe every single woman deserves a safe warm place to live. We would like to help the women in this area remain self sufficient, if they so choose by giving them a leg up, not a handout. We support their desire to remain independent and would like to do that by raising enough money to buy land or purchase property, that will house 48 women in a positive supportive encouraging home.Call me crazy but I believe that women are capable of supporting and encouraging each other and collaborating in business and in home. If we raise enough funds we would like to support the women in maintaining their own personal business, that they will operate together which will support them and their home. This home building will feature 14 rooms with four shared bathrooms 2 toilets two showers each and four handicapped accessible rooms also 14 studio apartments and 14 one bedroom apartments, 2 two bedroom employee apartments, 2 one bedroom for owner and operator. Eventually we would like to have a business where we can work and sell our handmade products and services and trades in the same building first floor to support this home. We dont want to rely on government if we dont have to, we would like to provide jobs and a safe place to live. This dream is real and any help acheiving it would be appreciated and a testament to faith in the heart of people its not only a dream but a neccessary goal for our community and if it works a standard for others as well. Thank you, Team MAA
