Rob Machado Foundation For Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fellow surfer and friend Jon Rose created an organization called Waves for Water with the simple purpose of providing access to clean drinking water to people around the world. I've traveled on water missions with him to Haiti and Bali and experienced firsthand his commitment to helping those less fortunate.
Most recently W4W has set up on the East Coast to help to run relief efforts for Hurricane Sandy victims. Half of all donations raised during this campaign for my foundation will be donated to W4W for their efforts to help our friends on the East Coast rebuild their lives. I would be grateful for contributions of any amount. Thank you.
ROB MACHADO FOUNDATION // Through my Foundation, we aim to teach children that our resources are precious. We need to respect our water and land. Each one of us can make a difference. From turning off the faucet when brushing your teeth, to eliminating single-use plastic bottles, to understanding your watershed, we can all work together to make an impact.
We can’t keep operating the way we do or we’ll pay a price. So, I hope to encourage people to take a look around and realize that there is an issue but ultimately, we can make it better.
