Joshua Jensen's Fundraiser:

Madagascar Reforestation and Maternity Center Support Team

Joshua Jensen

We are raising support to spend one year living in Madagascar in order to support missionaries that are doing absolutely amazing work. Lives are being changed as hundreds of people have jobs helping reforest Madagascar - a country where 90% of the forests have been cut down! And women that lack even basic medical care through pregnancy are able to get prenatal care at a maternity center that also offers education on nutrition, sanitation, and family planning. Recently, a women's artisan project was started to provide work for women that don't have any other way to support their new families.  And through these projects addressing the needs of the people, relationships are built that allow the love and hope of Jesus to be shared.

Our family will spend one year helping with several projects that will support continued growth of the projects that are already in place. The funds will be used to start a guesthouse to accommodate more support staff and partners for the maternity center and reforestation work. The donations will be used to pay salaries of local Malagasy workers that will be trained to operate the guesthouse. We will also help modernize and update the tools used to track planting records for the reforestation work. Restoring the environment while providing jobs for the poor and enabling them to help themselves and their communities - what a great combination!

We will leave our jobs and relatively comfortable lives in the US to be a part of work that is changing lives. We are so grateful for the generosity of many people that have partnered with us to enable this dream. And we know that not only will we be helping others, but our lives and the lives of our children will be forever changed. Thank you for your support!
