The Madhattan Ultra Marathon
EVENT DATE: Dec 01, 2012
The Madhattan is a test of endurance and strength to run around the circumference of Manhattan in New York - to complete Manhattan's first ultramarathon. It requires a certain level of fitness to complete but also a certain level of craziness to put the mind and body to the ultimate test. Most importantly it is about having fun and doing good in the community. The Madhattan is dedicating money raised to two charities: the World Education and Development Fund and the Robin Hood Foundation.
The World Education and Development Fund works in partnership with states governments and private corporations in Latin America to improve the quality of education in Latin America. Over 70% of Mexicans and Brazilians do not have a high school education. World Fund aims to increase the quality of education through providing training and support to teachers and school principals in Latin America to create change across the broader education community.
The Robin Hood Foundation is a New York dedicated charity not only dedicated to fighting poverty in New York but also is making a huge effort in the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. The Robin Hood Foundation partners with the most effective poverty fighting organizations in New York to help fight the battle against poverty that exists throughout New York. It is currently making a huge effort to improve conditions for those most in need as a result of Hurricane Sandy.
This crowdrise page is for the Robin Hood Foundation.
